In June of 2017, I completed a Bachelor of Agribusiness majoring in Rural Science through the University of New England. I spent two and a half years in Toowoomba, where I studied externally whilst working part time for a local ag reseller.  Then in December last year, I accepted a position as a junior agronomist with the same company and relocated to Katherine, in the Northern Territory, 350kms south of Darwin. Our business has a strong focus on the mango, melon, and tropical pasture crops.

Growing up on a beef property an hour south of Darwin is where I developed my passion for tropical agriculture. Mangoes along with tropical forage and pasture crops are my major enterprises of interest. Aside from being keenly involved in the North Australian agricultural industry, I have a strong desire to pursue a career in agricultural development. During a university study tour last year of the Cambodian agricultural industry, I found many similarities between Cambodia’s tropical climate, soil types and crops grown to those I’ve experienced in the Darwin and Katherine regions.
