Farmer Household Survey

The research project has conducted more than 400 household surveys. Major themes include: household composition and characteristics, assets and income, farming activities, debt, and problem-solution pathways (PSPs).

With the help of Dr Nick Read, the statistical analysis of this dataset is helping the research team to better understand cassava farmer households in the region. For example, below are findings that show the size, education, and age of the head of households (HoH) or participant in the survey.

Critical to all analyses of farmers is the land holdings, especially land tenure.

With the composition of farmer households and land (with tenure status), income is a key question. It is especially critical to determine whether and how land and income are connected (or not).
